Laparoscopic Hysterectomy is a major surgical procedure in which the uterus and possibly the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and cervix are removed. The surgery can be done in several ways, one of which is laparoscopic. Hysterectomy often includes removal of the cervix as well as the uterus. When the surgeon also removes one or both ovaries and fallopian tubes, it’s called a total hysterectomy with salpingo-oophorectomy.
