Ovarian Cystectomy

Ovarian Cystectomy is surgery to remove a cyst from your ovary. Laparoscopic surgery is a minimally invasive surgical technique that only uses a few small incisions in your lower abdomen. A small incision is made in the abdomen to place a tiny camera and a separate small incision is made for the surgeon to insert an instrument with which to perform the procedure. The cyst is dissected off of the ovary. The cyst tissue is removed from the body.
