Urethra

The urethra is the tube that is present in the penis and helps us expel urine from the body. It is a narrow caliber tube that can get blocked by a stone or due to the narrowing of the passage itself which is called a stricture. Rarely a cancerous process or an outpouching can develop from there. Examining this tube either by cystoscopy or by a simple x-ray gives us a lot of information. If you take too long to pass urine while you go to the toilet you must consult your urologist.
